Labeled by the press as "the Carl Craig of drum & bass", Kjetil Dale Sagstad, aka K aka POLAR defies the established boundary lines that characterize drum & bass. K runs Subtitles alongside partner-in-crime and fellow countryman DJ TeeBee. Widely recognized for his work on Certificate 18, K's discography includes the mini LP 37 Degrees and Falling and the debut full-length Still Moving, which was fashioned at the tender age of 22 in the year 2001.

His frosty, unyielding "Total Recall/Trackspill" release contrasts the warm tones of "7th Avenue", K's second release on Thermal. The track pulls its name from the studio and headquarters of Thermal, and is the first song K composed upon migrating to the U.S. from Bergen, Norway.
