Controlled Substance
With his tracks charted by DJs worldwide, Oakland - based Controlled Substance stays busy contantly working on new material. Partnered with AngelZero, Controlled Substance is one-half of the production team known as Illformants whose credits include upcoming Subtitles and Breakbeat Science releases later this year.

Thermal Recordings released Controlled Substance's first 12" entitled "Freestyle" / "Cyclic" in 2000 extolled by URB magazine in July of that year. The track "Freestyle" also appears on the first volume of Thermal's Thermodynamix cd series.

Producer Controlled Substance also doubles as Thermal's award-winning web designer.
